
Highlighting world cultures, religions, sports and talents, “World Friendship” emphasizes international fellowship and friendship among nations. Sportsmanship plays a key role in this program and organized sports are prevalent. Favorite events include an Olympics and a carnival – complete with tiki torches, roasted “boar,” luau dancing and Hawaiian skits. At the closing Chautauqua ceremony, the highly prized Sportsmanship Award and Geneva Glen Peace Prize Award are presented. Multi-cultural awareness and acceptance are key values exemplified during World Friendship.
