CAMP GOALS

The Goal of Geneva Glen Camp is to provide experiences for children and youth that promote discovery of one's own dignity and worth; encourage respect for all races, creeds and backgrounds; stimulate love for and care of the natural world; develop commitments to enduring values; train youth as creative school and community leaders; and to empowering participators to live at their highest level and to enrich their home communities through what they have learned at Geneva Glen.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

The Counselor job consists primarily of cabin duty and program participation. The Counselor is responsible for knowing the whereabouts of each camper in his/her dorm at all times. He/She is responsible for cabin assignments, i.e., cabin clean-up duties; for effective condition of morale, to know when a camper is lonely or homesick, and helping a child to reach his highest potential as a good citizen in camp. The Senior Counselor will be the primary "guide" and leader for the CIT assigned to the group, as well as the Teen Trainee. The Junior counselor's duties are very similar to the Senior counselor, but the responsibilities will fall first to the Senior.
