Tuition: $2,700
Ages: entering 3rd-11th grade
World Friendship celebrates international fellowship, friendship among nations, world peace, and the importance of community service. This session shines a spotlight on global cultures, sports, and talents, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and mutual respect. A vital program component is sportsmanship, with organized sports playing a significant role throughout the session.
One of the highlights is Geneva Glen’s Olympics, where cabin and dorm groups compete in various individual and team events. The spirit of competition is balanced by the emphasis on fair play, culminating in the awarding of the highly coveted “Sportsmanship Award.” The Geneva Glen “Peace Prize” is also presented during the closing Chautauqua ceremony, celebrating efforts towards global harmony.
Throughout World Friendship, the camp promotes multicultural appreciation and acceptance, ensuring these values are not only discussed but actively embodied by all participants.
