World Friendship emphasizes international fellowship, friendship among nations, world peace, and the importance of community service by highlighting world cultures, sports, and talents. Sportsmanship plays a key role in this program and organized sports are prevalent. Favorite events include GG’s own Olympics, where cabin/dorm groups compete against each other various individual and team events. At the closing Chautauqua ceremony, the highly prized Sportsmanship Award and Geneva Glen Peace Prize Award are presented. Multicultural appreciation and acceptance are key values exemplified during World Friendship.
